How to request deletion of your Dreamote account and the data associated with it.

Before you delete

Dreamote lets you export your journal, so you can save your own copy of your dreams before deleting your account.

Deleting your Dreamote account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel separately in Apple or Google subscription settings. An active subscription never blocks account deletion.

Delete from the app

When the Dreamote mobile app is available, you can delete your account from account settings.

  1. Open Dreamote and go to account settings.
  2. Choose delete account, then complete the identity checks the app asks for.
  3. After the server confirms deletion, the app runs local cleanup on that device. Offline devices may need to reopen the app or regain connectivity before cleanup finishes.

Without the app

Permanent account deletion from this website is not available in the current build. The form below may let you review sign-in and security confirmation, but it does not complete a live server-side deletion.

To request deletion of your Dreamote account, write to privacy@dreamote.me. We may ask you to confirm your identity before processing a privacy-related request.

What is deleted

After successful server-side account deletion, Dreamote removes the account and associated information from active systems, including, as applicable:

  • The authentication account and user profile;
  • Cloud-stored dream entries and other account-scoped journal records;
  • User-specific synchronization records;
  • Related subscription entitlement records stored in Dreamote systems;
  • Other account-scoped records subject to the deletion procedure.

Local journal data, encryption material, synchronization state, and cached account data on a device are cleaned up when that device recognizes the remote deletion. Cleanup can be delayed while a device is offline, and may require reopening the app or clearing local storage if automated cleanup cannot finish.

Account deletion does not automatically remove journal files, images, JSON exports, or other copies you previously saved outside Dreamote. You remain responsible for managing those external copies.

What may be kept

Limited records may remain temporarily where needed for legal, security, or operational purposes — for example to confirm that deletion was processed, prevent duplicate deletion attempts, investigate errors, or meet other legitimate obligations.

Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove every copy from backups, security logs, or third-party provider systems. Those copies may remain temporarily under applicable backup, security, legal, or provider practices.

Where information is retained after account deletion, Dreamote restricts its use to the applicable purpose and does not treat it as an active dream journal.
